The UoE Open Knowledge Network is a new initiative that aims to bring together colleagues from across the institution who are working in the area of open knowledge, open data, open access, open education, open science, open collections & archives, etc., in order to support cross-fertilisation and promote the institution’s activities in these areas.

The first Open Knowledge Network event is taking place on the 31st of January and will be relevant to all those with an interest in open knowledge or who are curious to learn more. The event will feature an opening talk from Gill Hamilton, Digital Access Manager at the National Library of Scotland, lightning talks highlighting open knowledge activities and initiatives around the university, followed by break out sessions to discuss relevant issues and future activities.

This event is open to all staff and students and colleagues are welcome to drop in for some or all of the event. Tea, coffee and lunch will be provided. The UoE Open Knowledge Network is supported by the ISG Innovation Fund.
